KEPsoft Collaborative

Software and Services for National and International Kidney Exchange Programmes

KEPsoft Collaborative is a not-for-profit social enterprise spin-out company of the University of Glasgow, INESC TEC, HUN-REN-KRTK and Óbuda University. It is built upon an interdisciplinary European community that has been collaborating since 2016 through two COST-funded projects, namely ENCKEP (European Network for Collaboration on Kidney Exchange Programmes) and KEP-SOFT (Software for Transnational Kidney Exchange Programmes).

KEPsoft Collaborative’s aim is to provide products and services that ultimately improve the health prospects of patients across Europe who require a kidney transplant, by enabling improved access to national and international kidney exchange programmes (KEPs). We offer:

software and services for national and international KEPs, provided via the KEPsoft platform;

advisory and coordination services for organisations seeking to establish software-based KEPs;

not-for-profit access to a European community of transplantation organisations and other collaborators, to share KEP experiences and best practices and co-govern advancement of the KEPsoft software and services that incorporate this shared knowledge base.

A primary activity of KEPsoft Collaborative is to market, licence, distribute, deploy, maintain, develop and customise KEPsoft.

KEPsoft is a flexible, modular software platform to enable transplantation organisations to manage the workflow associated with national and international KEPs.
